Have You Ever?

Have you ever stood on a mountain
With the stars down to your toes?
Or savored the fragrance 
Of a freshly picked rose?
Have you ever strolled by the ocean 
And watched the sun slip away?
Or hiked through a forest 
In the heat of the day?
Have you ever weathered a storm 
And found the rainbow?
Or listened to the silence
Of the soft falling snow?

All of these things are only a few
Examples of ways that God blesses you
He made the earth to be His family’s home
And gave us dominion over all that He owns
Nature provides a refreshing jumpstart
So we can serve God with all of our heart

Have you ever snuggled in a blanket
By a campfire’s light?
Or shared your heart with a friend
Long into the night?
Have you ever melted in the arms
Of a loved one's embrace?
Or held a new baby
And touched his sweet face?
Have you ever smiled while watching
Young children at play?
Or had someone’s kiss
Take your breath away?  

These too, are things with which we are blessed
God knows who we are and still calls us His best
Being alone is not how we live
We stand together, we love and forgive
A family we are and that makes us strong
So we can serve God whatever comes along

Have you ever opened your Bible
And got your mind blown?
Or searched scriptures daily
So you could make them your own?
Have you ever heard the Word shared
And it set your heart free?
Or shared It yourself
With your whole family?
Have you ever claimed a promise 
That God wrote in His Word?
Or rejoiced in a victory
Because you believed what you heard?

Of all of God’s blessings, His Word is the best
For only by It comes true righteousness
It alone gives salvation and what we need to be wise
For only God’s Word is His Will for our lives
God’s Word is perfect, and holy, and true
So we can serve God in ALL that we do
