The world surely seems crazy right now.\u00a0 Division, unrest, and fear abound in every corner.\u00a0 So much conflicting information floods our minds every day, that we may often feel overwhelmed or confused.\u00a0 I have seen friendships ruined and family relations strained over differences of opinion on things as trivial as which news outlet\u2019s information is correct.\u00a0 To me that means that people are paying too much homage to those news outlets. \u00a0I\u2019m not saying we can\u2019t watch the news; I\u2019m just saying we can\u2019t make it our source for truth.\u00a0 \u00a0As the old hymn says, \u201cThis world is not my home.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0We can\u2019t afford to get caught up in all the worldly schemes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To that end, I wrote a poem.\u00a0 I think it might bless you, especially if all the worldly falderal is bothering you lately.\u00a0 It\u2019s called, “Not Inside or Out”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I looked at the world\r\nAnd all I could see\r\nWas turmoil and chaos\r\nSurrounding me\r\n\r\nBad news filled my ears \r\nDay out and day in\r\nIt seemed like a battle \r\nThat no one could win\r\n\r\nSo I retreated inside\r\nTo my own little space\r\nCertainly there I could find\r\nRelief from this race\r\n\r\nBut inside or out \r\nNo peace to be had\r\nSomething was missing\r\nThat I needed bad\r\n\r\nIt wasn\u2019t until \r\nThe Bible\u2019s pages I turned\r\nThat I found the help\r\nFor which I had yearned\r\n\r\nFor only God\u2019s words\r\nAre the truth in this life\r\nAnd only God\u2019s love\r\nCan put an end to all strife\r\n\r\nIf this world is your friend\r\nDisappointment will reign\r\nIf you trust in yourself\r\nYour strength will soon wane \r\n\r\nBut when in God you trust\r\nAnd His Word you believe\r\nYou\u2019ll have His power \r\nTo surely succeed\r\n\r\nSo don\u2019t be afraid\r\nOf that worldly view\r\nFor God\u2019s Word provides\r\nA loving haven for you\r\n\r\nUnder God\u2019s wings\r\nYou can safely rest \r\nFor God is your Father\r\nAnd You are His best\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe world\u2019s design is to tear us down, which is the total opposite of God\u2019s design.\u00a0 God wants His children to be victorious in every situation. \u00a0God loves His children and knows each hair on their heads.\u00a0 To the world, we faceless tools to be used.\u00a0 God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.\u00a0 The devil, who is running the show these days, is darkness and there is no light in him \u2013 not one speck.\u00a0 God is always on our side, ready and willing to make bare his arm on our behalf.\u00a0 The battle is not ours, but God\u2019s.\u00a0 (2 Chronicles 20:15)\u00a0 So let\u2019s keep the worldly trappings in their proper perspective and triumph over all the ploys of our adversary.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With God, we are more than conquerors! But we should not forget that being conquerors means that there was something that needed to be conquered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
